Robert De Niro and Marlon Brando both played the part of Vito Corleone. De Niro won Best Supporting Actor, 1974 for "The Godfather Part II" and Brando won Best Actor, 1972 for "The Godfather"
Interestingly, neither actor picked up the award in person.
