During Maurice Green's record setting time on the 100 Meter Dash, he reached a top speed of 27 MPH.

Here is a website that compares Maurice Green's 9.79 second time to Usain Bolt's 9.69 time. Green ran his fastest 10 meters in 0.83 seconds and Bolt ran his fastest 10 meters in 0.82 seconds.

Usain Bolt's maximum running speed in the 100 metres is 27.3 miles per hour. That's 10 metres (over 32 feet) covered in 0.82 seconds!
