Jerusalem is possibly the most conquered city in history.
The link above doesn't mention specifics, but Jerusalem had been conquered three different times by ancient Israel, once by the Babylonians, several times by the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Assyrians, Turks and British between 587 BCE and 1917 CE, and then twice more the Old City changed nationalities in 1948 and 1967, making what is now known as the Western Wall probably the most wartorn place in history, and the most valuable piece of real estate in the world (its value being measured in thousands of human lives).
