Would pouring bleach on ice or snow melt it faster?

The process of bleach dissolving in water (or, to a much lesser extent, if you used liquid bleach, being diluted by further water) is an exothermic reaction. This means that it releases heat, so will speed up the melting process. You should, however, be careful of the chlorine that is released in the process.
