This is mainly a manly question. I've been seeing more urinals lately with numbers and letters stamped in them that read 3.8 Lpf/1.0 gpf. Anyone know what that means?

Each time you flush the toilet one gallon of water is used. One gallon is about 3.8 liters.

Per flush, surely.

Most urinals in the UK are flushed on a timed basis and I've not seen this on any. Then again, I've not looked. I'm going to be studying them now.
