The videotaped trial of Nazi Adolf Eichmann was broadcast nationwide in Israel in 1961, as well as other locations around the world, and is often cited as the world's first televised trial. A trial in Oklahoma was televised (locally) in 1953 however. http://remember.org/eichmann/intro.htm
