I don't know these songs so they may not be from the 70s.

The closest thing I can think of offhand is "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye from 1973.

Not those. Thanks, McGruff. I think one of the lyrics is,"I'm gonna tell you just what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna make love to you." Anyone else?

Eureka. The song is "Get It On" and the band is "Chase." Thanks to those who searched!

The only known concert footage of the band, performing "Get it on" in 1974. Sadly, Chase, along with the keyboardist Yohn, the drummer Clark, and the guitarist Emma were killed 6 months later in a plane crash.
