The KFC franchise started in 1952, and had over 600 outlets when it was sold in 1964. They had 'started to pop up' well before the Colonel's appearance on "What's My Line?" on Dec 1, 1963. Same goes for his appearance on "I've Got a Secret" on April 6, 1964. While I cannot find an exact date for his appearance on "You bet Your Life", the fact that the show finished its run in 1960 makes his appearance there closer in time to the start of his burgeoning empire than either of the other two shows.
