Is the composer Felix Mendelsohn- Bartholdi in any way related to the maker of the Statue of Liberty, Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi?

Doesn't seem to be any relation. Though Abraham Mendelssohn (the composer's father) took on the name Bartholdiy upon conversion to Protestantism in 1822 (note the difference in spelling), still a while before Frédéric Bartholdi was born.
