John alluded to her indirectly in "Julia," a song dedicated to his mother, with the lyrics: "Ocean child calls me, so I sing a song of love" (The kanji -mZq ("Yoko") means "ocean child").
Mother -- Andy Newark remembers how John's nickname for Yoko was "Mother".

We see an example of Lennon calling Yoko "Mother" in Tom King's book on David Geffen, "The Operator", p. 320, while discussing the release of "Walking on THin Ice" the day of Lennon's death (Dec. 8, 1980):
"'Let's put it out after Christmas and really do the thing right,' Geffen told Lennon and Ono. 'Take out an ad.'
"'An ad!' Lennon exclaimed to Yoko. 'Listen to this, Mother, you're gonna get an ad!'"
