Some autographed photos of Peter and Gordon on the net have the signature of Peter Asher nearer to the bespectacled person, and Gordon Waller's signature is nearer to the person without glasses. For added evidence, Peter's entry on IMDB shows him with glasses.

This wikipedia article shows their names aligned to their photo as I remember them from the 60s. Peter Asher was shorter, and sported red hair and glasses; Gordon Waller was taller with dark hair and no glasses.
