Methylated spirits.
"'Methylated Spirits' or 'Denatured Alcohol' is ethanol which has been rendered unfit for human consumption (in order to exempt it from liquor duty) by the addition of methanol. 'Mineralised Methylated Spirits' also contains mineral oil. It usually contains a purple dye (such as methyl violet) and foul tasting chemicals (such as pyridine or denatonium benzoate). It is sold by most hardware stores and many grocery stores.
