Clyde William Tombaugh discovered Pluto.

American astronomer Percival Lowell was the first who thought there might be another planet somewhere near Neptune and Uranus, he spent years traying, but never found it.

It was indeed 23-year-old Clyde W. Tombaugh, 13 years later at the Lowell Observatory who made the discovery.
