How many peanuts are in one Snickers bar?

Most sources say 27 or 28 peanuts, which has been quoted on at least a couple of tv shows.
I just saw an Unwrapped episode ("Halloween Sweets") that included a segment on Snickers. The spokesperson -- whose name I unfortunately didn't catch -- said that each standard Snickers bar includes about 28 peanuts.

This experimenter determined there were 40. It is hard to tell whether he was counting half peanuts or not though:
