Agatha Christie gave the royalties to her grandson, Matthew Prichard, for his ninth birthday.

There are a couple of weird conditions of the play as well, that are very interesting as well.

1. Only one version of the play can be performed annually outside of the West End.
2. No film adaptation can be made for 6 months after the play closes in the West End
