According to an interview of Charlie March (1899-1977) in 1963 by Radio Canada, his parents named it. His parents were the original settlers. His mother told him that a bachelor who lived in the area left to get married; they kidded him about spending his honeymoon on the bay but he never returned. He went to London and made his fortune on the stock exchange. The interview can be heard on this webpage (it's near the start of the interview):
