In the movie, I do not believe it is mentioned, but the book states that her surname is Whittier.

It is mentioned in the movie :D I can think of at least one occassion where Nancy is trying to jog George's memory:

"This is Pollyanna Whittier, Miss Harrington's niece, the one who's come to live with her?"

"Oh? Oh that one!"

They then go out for icecream :)
