Broadway beginning at the Battery (bottom tip of Manhattan) and extends for seventeen miles north and four miles through the Bronx. It then leaves the city at 262nd Street and continues north through Yonkers and Westchester County to Albany and beyond.

Broadway continues running through several Hudson River towns as U.S. Route 9, before becoming the "New York-Albany Post Road," and running through the state capital, Albany, terminating in Champlain, New York at the Canadian border.
