Who is considered to be the first computer programmer?

Ada Lovelace, who worked with Charles Babbage Analytical Engine. Her notes on the engine include what is recognized as the first algorithm intended to be processed by a machine. Because of this, she is often considered the world's first computer programmer.
This is also why the programing language ADA was named, in her honor.

Additionally Ada Lovelace was the niece of poet, Lord Byron.
