Twenty five of the fifty states have changed their capital city since being admitted to the Union. Those that have are: Alabama, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia.
