The song was created by Lowe as another gentle dig at David Bowie and Bowie's number "Breaking Glass", which contained the lyrics;
"Baby, I've been, breaking glass in your room again
Listen"

It continued a trend for Lowe who had previously released an EP titled "Bowi" (being Bowie without the "e") in response to Bowie's 1977 album "Low" (being Lowe without the "e").
