Are you after the "wine cask"? Or a specific wine?
If the former, here's one link as to its origins:

If a specific brand is being asked for, I'd suggest Coolabah.
Coolabah was one of the first successful Australian cask wine manufacturers, starting in 1973 and still to this day specialising in cask wine. The brand was heavily advertised on tv in the 70s and 80s, and I can vaguely remember the phrase "wine in a box" being used in the ads.
