Being a lizard does not mean a komodo dragon can climb walls. They do have claws, and juveniles can climb trees, while older komodo dragons are too heavy to climb trees. This is important as the older komodo dragons will attempt to eat the younger ones.
Komodo dragons can scramble up slanted inclines, but not vertical walls.
