There's a picture of him in 1927 (34 years old) that doesn't have it.

Between the age of 24 and 25, his mole appeared according to this site. Not sure how much to trust it, but there is extremely little evidence or discussion out there about mole appearance date!

Ok, going through wikipedia's pictures, I see one from 1931 where he doesn't, and one from 1935 where he does have it. So it looks like it happened some time between 38 and 42.

If you zoom into the 1931 image you can see something that could be a small mole.

I wonder if perhaps he was born with it but it grew over time.
