The song "In a Lifetime" by Clannad and Bono, has some Irish lyrics at the start. What is the English translation of these?

During the intro to Clannad's "In a Lifetime" Maire is teaching Bono of U2 Gaelic. This is as far as I could get after trolling a ton of websites with the exception of discovering that "clannad" means family.
