The website wonderopolis.org tells us the same answer: 720 peanuts for a 16oz. jar.

If you do read this article you may need to do a bit of math because it mentions the number per 12 oz jar. That is, 540 peanuts in a 12 oz jar. 540 ÷ 12 = 45 X 16 = 720
That's a lotta nuts! But put to GOOD use IMHO.
