It's called 'NatureScene Theme' performed by Christopher Berg, a music professor at the University of South Carolina. NatureScene was produced at South Carolina ETV.

The credits at the end of an episode are available here: link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AySiVMLQ6h0&list=PL1063572C27BEE8D3&index=50 (info at 3:36 of the segment).

I finally found the song I was asking about. It's called "Estudio Brillante" by Chet Atkins and it appears on his album "Lover's Guitar". Thanks for looking ~ D.
