Carling, the name behind the well-known 'black label' beer is that of the Canadian Thomas Carling who founded his brewery in Otario in 1840.

Carling Kathrin Bassett-Seguso (born October 9, 1967 in Toronto, Canada) is a former professional tennis player from Canada.
Basset is the daughter of the late John Frederick Bassett, an executive for his father John Bassett's company Baton Broadcasting, and Susan Carling, the granddaughter of politician and brewery executive John Carling.
