"I've Got My Own Album To Do" by Ron Wood was released in 1974. On the cover, why is his named spelled Woods with the 's' crossed out?

Warner Brothers didn't know how to spell his last name on the September 1974 record. When Ron received the mock up for the cover he scratched out the 's' and told the record company to leave the cover just like that.
