Is there a generally accepted family name for dragons, wyverns, wyrms, drakes, etc.?

I believe "Dragon" Covers it, Dragon is sort of a generic term...
Wyvern's are a type of Dragon as are Drakes both Fire and Cold.(Drakes(such as Smaug) come from Tolkien's Middle Earth).
In fantasy there are colored (e.g. red, green, blue) and metallic (e.g. Platinum, Gold, Silver).
