John Quincy Adams was photographed by Matthew Brady sometime between 1843 and 1848, after his term as president (1825-1829)

William Henry Harrison was photographed at his inauguration in 1841. This photograph is older, but Harrison served as president in 1841.

Dolly Madison was the earliest First Lady to be photograph (in the late 1840s), long after her husband's presidential term (1809-1817).
