Eagles guitarist Bernie Leadon plays the banjo on "Take It Easy". Leadon came to rock from a bluegrass background (like Chris Hillman) and had been a member of the progressive country-rock bands Dillard & Clark (with ex-Byrd Gene Clark and ex-Dillards Doug Dillard) and the Flying Burrito Brothers (with ex-Byrds Hillman, Gram Parsons, and Michael Clarke). Leadon left the Eagles after their fourth album ("One of These Nights"), ostensibly because he was dating Patti Davis, Ronald Reagan's daughter, and he was getting political pushback from the other band members, but perhaps because he was frustrated with the turn toward rock that the band had taken after adding guitarist Don Felder. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Take_It_Easy
