There are tube type TV's that have flat tube screens. If you're refering to the new plasma type flat screen TV's or computer displays, they do not have a tube.

Some additional info: None tube type (plasma) flat screen displays are usually only 4 or 5 inches deep. (Sometimes less.) A flat screen tube is much deeper and will look like a traditional TV.
