Jenna - I'm presuming thatr you mean 'Imperial Measures' as against Metric Measures. The Human Hair is on average 0.004(ish) inches (divide that by 12 to get 'in terms of feet'

Hair varies in thickness across the continents and peoples of the world.
The thinest is about 2 thousandth of an inch in diameter.
The thickest can be about 6 thou'.
Most is around 0.004 inches.
This equates to 0.0003333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 feet !!!!

Allowing for the average overall to be slightly more, 0.00038 ft would not be far out!
However your figure appears to be a factor of 10 too much !!

Jenna - if you have quoted the question correctly then the question is incorrect. The human hair IS APRROX 0.004' (four thousands of an Inch and there are 12 inches to the foot)So therefore .004 divided by 12 is your answer.
