This I understand is a list of cities in England with a population over 100,000. I have highlighted Football (Soccer) Clubs that I know come from these places.
Bath Birkenhead Birmingham (City FC and Aston Villa) Blackburn (Rovers FC) Blackpool (FC) Bournemouth (FC) Bradford (City FC) Brighton ( and Hove Albion FC) Bristol (City FC and Rovers FC) Chelmsford Coventry (City FC) Derby (County FC) Exeter (City FC) Gloucester Huddersfield (Town FC) Hull (City FC) Ipswich (Town FC) Leeds (United FC) Leicester (City FC) Liverpool (FC and Everton FC) London (incl) (Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Millwall, Queen's Park Rangers, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United) Manchester (United FC and City FC) Middlesbrough (FC) Newcastle (United FC) Norwich (City FC) Nottingham (Forest FC) Oldham (Athletic FC) Oxford (United FC) Peterborough (United FC) Plymouth (Argyle FC) Portsmouth (FC) Sheffield (Wednesday FC and United FC) Southampton (FC)
Some of these teams occasionally play at other grounds. Those towns and cities marked with a * also have a football team. So now, we just need someone to find the rugby teams!
So, it seems the cities are: London, Manchester, Leeds, Leicester, Northampton, Bristol, and also Cardiff.
