In polite terms, an aphrodisiac is something which is said to get a person 'in the mood for love'. Popular examples are oysters, Spanish fly and powdered rhino horn, though I'm sure that similar claims are made for many things.

You're probably thinking of the Whitlams' song, No Aphrodisiac, which has the line, "there's no aphrodisiac like loneliness."
