A cassette tape runs at 1.875 inches per second.
(Half the speed of the slowest (usually) speed that the old reel to reels ran at)
My Akai does 7.5 ips and 3.75 ips.
3,600 seconds in an hour make it 6,750 inches.
This equates to 562 feet 6 inches !!!!
