Statistically speaking, what are the chances of winning a game of Solitaire?

If you are talking about the Solitaire where you "jump" pegs over one another until there is only 1 left (which is a "win"), then once you know "the rules" of winning you can do it everytime, so the chances of winning is 100%

With the card game (also called 'Patience') on the computer I tend to win 2 for every 4 games played.

Idiot's Delight is a standard solitaire described in most solitaire references. Its more proper name is "Aces Up" but it is also known as "Aces High," "Four Aces," "Firing Squad," and "Drivel." In its native form, Idiot's Delight is a very difficult, some would say maddening, game.
