The Incan Empire was huge. It occupied large parts of what are now Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Argentina and extended slightly into Brazil and Columbia. Three significant Incan sites are located in Peru. Machu Picchu is the site of the Sun Temple. Cuzco was the capitol city of the empire, and it is said the Incan Empire began with the conquest of Moche Culture.
The Mayans occupied the eastern one third of Mesoamerica, primarily centered in the Yucatan Pennisula of Mexico. However, their territory also included all of what is now Belize and parts of Guatemala and Honduras.
The Aztec civilization occupied a large part of what is now southern Mexico, with a finger of influence extending as far south as Guatemala.
