At the time of "Two Weeks Notice" release in December 2002, Sandra Bullock was 38 years old and Hugh Grant was 42 years old.

Though I could not find reference to it, it is likely both characters were supposed to be about five to ten years younger given the nature of romantic comedies being about twenty- or thirty-somethings.
