What is the pun that Salvador Dali executed when producing his work of art "Oeuf's sur le plat sans le plat"?

"et sans les oeufs" too no doubt. Rather like when Hancock said "if we had some eggs we could have ham and eggs if we had any ham".

If it was plateless eggs for breakfast he would have prayed to God "Give us our Dali bread" to soak them up with.

Sort of SM, I need the pun though. The words obviously translate to Egg's on the plate without the plate, but "Oeuf's sur le plat is actually the french term for fried eggs; so "eggs on the plate" can in fact exist without a plate and even as in the picture, improbably hanging from a line mid-air, like bait on a fish hook. He was also fond of painting two identical fried eggs set close together side by side which suggests he was also aware of the french slang usage of "oeuf's sur le plat" to describe female breasts.
