Hershey’s chocolate syrup.
"They had a can of Hershey’s syrup, which was watered down, and that’s what they used for blood. But they had to dribble it around me and on me.” You also hear Hitch explain that he made the film in black and white because the draining away of the blood would have been too “repulsive” in colour.
