Is it technically incorrect to call 5 minutes past midnight 12:05 PM as our TV listing does?

It could be argued that this time is 00.05 AM but it is 12 hours and 5 minutes since the start of the PM period so 12.05 PM for 5 past midnight is correct.

5 minutes past midnight would be 12:05 a.m. Technically a new day starts at 12:00:01 a.m.
12:00 p.m. is noon, so 12:05 p.m. would be be 5 minutes past noon.
