One day on breakfast TV, I vaguely recall seeing an unpleasant demonstration by Johnny Vaughan of a device that could remove all the snot from a bunged-up person's head in one go. How might it have worked and is it still for sale?

Yes, it's a thin tube that you would connect to your vacuum, the tube is clear because when you see blood you know its time to stop.

Good luck in patenting that one, Buck. The one I saw looked like a small Aladdin's lamp affair that had some sort of fluid in it.

Sounds like a Neti pot, used by Yogis to clean out their nasal passages.
