Aron -- Parents spelled it that way so as to match the middle name of his twin, Garon.

his parents wanted it to be aron like his brothers. Later on in Elvis's life he wanted to change it to aaron like in the bible, but when he got the papers to change it was already spelt that way. On his gravestone his dad knew he wanted it to be spelt aaron so they decided to use that.

"Elvis was named after his father, Vernon Elvis Presley, and Mr. Presley's good friend in Tupelo, Aaron Kennedy. Aron was the spelling the Presleys chose, either it was a spelling mistake or apparently to make it similar to the middle name of Elvis' stillborn identical twin, Jesse Garon Presley."
