Goats can, if the trees aren't too steep.

On TV's "QI" recently, one panellist clained to have seen the goats in trees phenomenon.
The host asked if it was a tree he saw or a "goat hanger"!
Having had two goats, I can say that even those that can't climb trees will give it a good go if they think there's something tasty up there.
