What is the difference between the JP1 aviation fuel and the JP4 aviation fuel?

The first difference is that JP-1,2 and 3 are obsolete, and JP-4 is almost exclusively used by the military--US Air Force and certain US Army aircraft. Additional differences in the JP-1,2,3 and JP-4 (and current fuels) have to do with adjusting freeze points, economy (mixing naptha and kerosene with them extends availability) and safety precautions such as lowering flashpoints.
