How do you say "Melissa" in Chinese?

It would be pronounced "Melissa."

It is my understanding that an "English" name is written in Chinese based on the sounds produced when saying it. While the name Melissa would be written in three Chinese characters...the pronunciation would be the same in Chinese as it is in "English..."

For example, my name translates into Fao au ling, which roughly translated means "wherewithall drainpipe tree"

It has always been my understanding that "Melissa" means "honeybee" in Greek.

I have no doubt that all of the Chinese dialects have equivalents for that word.
