According to the Episode Guide--#145 and 146...it appears that Ross was somehow present. However, David Schwimmer shot all of his scenes for this episode the week before so that he could leave for England to shoot Band of Brothers. (This explains the conspicuous absence of Ross in the episode's final scene.) After he left, the producers decided that Ross having another baby would be overkill since they wanted to make Rachel pregnant soon anyway.
