If we're talking about the same person, she supposedly sneaked into the ancient Olympics, disguised as a trainer, in order to watch her son box, and became the first woman to observe the Games. The claim is that everyone had to show up naked after that.
Though I think that, later, a woman or two competed in the chariot races. Possibly a myth.
